Rattlesnake avoidance clinic scheduled

It’s summer time and you know what that means. Rattlesnakes are out.

The venomous snake can present a particular danger to our four-legged friends. So, the Spokane Bird Dog association is hosting a rattlesnake avoidance clinic on June 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The clinic, open to dogs 6 months and older, costs $75 per dog (cash or check only).

Trainers from Natural Solutions will teach participating dogs how to recognize and avoid rattlesnakes. Dogs will interact with muzzled juvenile and adult snakes to teach them to avoid the venomous snakes.

To register, call Doug Koenig at 850-1839 or email dougkoenig@windermere.com.
