Prep softball: Megan Isayev and Olivia Charbonneau help Lakeside extend NEA league lead

Megan Isayev had six strikeouts, went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and visiting Lakeside (7-0) beat Colville (5-2) 8-2 on Saturday in a Northeast 1A league game in the first game of a doubleheader.

Lakeside 4, Colville 2: Olivia Charbonneau broke a tie in the fifth inning with a two-RBI double and the visiting Eagles (8-0) swept the Indians (5-3).

Deer Park 12, Newport 1: Morgan Erickson had eight strikeouts across five innings and the visiting Stags (5-2) downed the Grizzlies (0-6) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Deer Park 17, Newport 6: Jessica Eide went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs as the Stags (6-2) defeated the visiting Grizzlies (0-7) in the second game of a doubleheader sweep.

Kettle Falls 6, Davenport 0: Jocelyn Glover pitched a shutout with seven strikeouts and the Bulldogs (1-4) beat the visiting Gorillas (2-3) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Kettle Falls 10, Davenport 0: Josie Nielson went 3 for 3 with two runs and the Bulldogs (2-4) swept the visiting Gorillas (2-4). Jocelyn Glover went 2 for 3 with five RBIs for Kettle Falls.

Freeman 25: Riverside 3: Abby Amend went 4 for 5 with four runs and five RBIs and the Scotties (3-4) beat the Rams (1-6) in the first game of a doubleheader. Hannah Brock went 4 for 5 with four runs and three RBIs for Freeman.

Freeman 20: Riverside 1: Abby Amend went 3 for 4 with three runs and four RBIs and the Scotties (4-4) beat the Rams (1-7) in the second game. Dixie Sefton drove in three runs for Freeman.

Northeast 2B

Liberty 9, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 4: Hailey Carter’s first inning blast put the Lancers (5-2) ahead early in what became a victory against the visiting Broncos (2-5) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Lacey Miller added a two-run home run for Lind-Ritzville/Sprague.

Liberty 15, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 3: Jaidyn Stephens went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs in a win for the Lancers (6-2) over the visiting Broncos (2-6) in the second game of a doubleheader.

Broncos catcher Lacey Miller followed up her two-run home run in the first game with a first inning solo shot in the second game.

Colfax 11, Asotin 2: Helina Hahn collected a single and a double and the visiting Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1) defeated the Panthers (4-10, 3-4) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Colfax 3, Asotin 2: Jorja Koerner collected her second win of the day and the visiting Bulldogs (7-1, 5-1) defeated the Panthers (4-11, 3-5) in the second game of a doubleheader.

Chewelah 17, Wilbur-Creston 6: Leah Carpenter and Madison Koler went 4 for 4 with a combined seven runs and the Cougars (5-2) beat the visiting Wildcats (0-5) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Chewelah 16, Wilbur-Creston 0: Madison Koler went 2 for 2 with four RBIs and the Cougars (6-2) swept the visiting Wildcats (0-6) .

Pe Ell 4, Northwest Christian 0: Britney Patrick slugged a home run and the Trojans defeated the visiting Crusaders (9-1).

Northwest Christian 17, Napavine 1: Ellie Sander and Chloe Rainbow drove in three runs apiece and the visiting Crusaders (11-1) defeated the Tigers (4-7).

Idaho

Coeur d’Alene 8, Post Falls 1: Hailey Lyons went 3 for 3 with four RBIs and the visiting Vikings (3-2) beat the Trojans (1-4) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Coeur d’Alene 9, Post Falls 4: Hailey Lyons hit a grand slam and the visiting Vikings (4-2) swept the Trojans (1-5).

Lake City 15, Lewiston 1: Ashlynn Allen went 3 for 3 with three runs and the Timberwolves (5-0) beat the visiting Bengals (1-4) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Lake City 7, Lewiston 0: Jalyssa Beamer went 2 for 3 with a home run and the Timberwolves (6-0) swept the visiting Bengals (1-5).
