Spokane Indians first baseman/designated hitter Curtis Terry was named Northwest League player of the week, the team announced via Twitter on Monday.
Terry went 14 for 27 (.519) with two home runs, five RBIs and four runs from July 16-22. He raised his batting average from .233 to .310 over the period. The Indians went 4-3 for the week.
Terry is coming off back-to-back four-hit games against Salem-Keizer. He leads the NWL in home runs (10), RBIs (28) total bases (71) and slugging percentage (.612).
For the year, Terry is hitting .310/.382/.612.
The Indians conclude the first half of the season in the finale of a five-game series against Salem-Keizer on Monday.
