Community Colleges of Spokane finished second and North Idaho College third in the women’s division of the Northwest Athletic Conference Fall ‘15 tournament at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla that wound up a two-day run Monday.
Bellevue had the top four individuals, led by co-medalists Lindsey Gullikson and Meg McCullen at 163, to post a solid victory, 492-524 over CCS. NIC was six strokes farther back at 530.
Nicole Miller of NIC finished fifth at 168 and CCS’ Haley Rotchford (Lakeland) was sixth at 169. Hailey Warren (Mt. Spokane) of CCS tied for ninth at 173 and Amalia Negrette of NIC tied for 12th at 176.
In the men’s division, CCS was fifth at 608 and NIC sixth at 616 as host Walla Walla, led by medalist Lauri Malinen’s even-par 144, won with a 595.
Derrick Phelps of CCS was eighth at 6-over 150 while teammates Tanner Kovacevich and Gavin Campbell were in a tie for ninth at 151. NIC’s Luke Logan and Conner Hayes tied for 15th at 9-over 153 and Braydon Swapp was in a tie for 17th at 154.
