BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Boise State coach Chris Petersen has a message for a team well stocked with returning starters: No job is safe.
The Bronco team that begins spring workouts Monday looks a lot like the one that went 14-0, beat TCU in the Fiesta Bowl and finished the season No. 4 in the Associated Press poll. Overall, 22 of 24 Fiesta Bowl starters are back.
But with a talented pool of underclassmen, Petersen insists nearly every spot on offense and defense is up for grabs.
Some of the most heated battles will play out on the offensive line, linebacking corps and defensive secondary. Petersen is also hoping some new receivers will challenge for playing time.
The one exception to the coach's challenge is junior quarterback Kellen Moore, who threw 39 TDs last season and completed 64.3 percent of his passes.
