Idaho's 2nd-leading scorer suspended

Associated Press - March 5, 2010 5:34 PM ET

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) - Idaho basketball player Kashif Watson has been suspended, and the team's second-leading scorer will miss at least Saturday's game against Hawaii.

Coach Don Verlin said Watson's suspension for conduct detrimental to the program will be reviewed prior to next week's Western Athletic Conference tournament.

Details of what caused the suspension were not released.

Watson, a senior guard, has started every game and is second on the team with a 10.7 scoring average. He also averages three rebounds per game.
