Bryan Braman, a graduate Spokane's Shadle Park High School now playing football at West Texas A&M, was arrested on drug charges in Texas.
Coach Don Carthel confirmed the arrest on Monday and said Braman had been suspended from the team. He declined to make any other comment, according to the Associated Press.
The Amarillo Globe-News said Braman surrendered to law enforcement on Oct. 5 on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, hallucinogenic mushrooms. He was released on $5,000 bond.
Braman, who's a 6'6", 230-pound lineman for the same school at which former Washington State quarterback Ryan Leaf coached before his own arrest, played in four games this season. He had 20 tackles, 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hurries.
