SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga left Spokane this morning bound for their first-round matchup against Florida State on Friday - a quiet affair - really.
The team buses rolled away from the McCarthey Athletic Center Wednesday shortly after 7 a.m. From East Spokane they rode to Spokane International Airport where they boarded a direct charter flight to Buffalo that was expected to arrive around 5:30 p.m.
After getting adjusted to the Eastern time zone on Wednesday, the team will hit the court on Thursday to practice for the game on Friday. They tip off against the Seminoles at about 4:10 p.m.
If they beat Florida State on Friday they'll stay in Buffalo to play in the second round on Sunday. That game would likely be against Syracuse, who plays 16th-seeded Vermont on Friday.
