Jones tweets retirement (again)

Posted: Updated:

Walter Jones, a certain Hall of Fame offensive tackle for the Seattle Seahawks, announced on his Twitter page that he is going to retire from football.

Jones hasn't played since November 2008 because of a knee injury and two surgeries.  Jones has not confirmed the retirement outside of his Twitter page and has not responded to interview requests.

He wrote on his page "I have came to the conclusion it is time for me to retire from football."

There is still some skepticism about the report since he has indicated in previous Twitter posts that he might be retired, only to work out with the Seahawks after those tweets.
