(Photo: SWX)Gonzaga's women's team continued its slow but steady climb to national prominence, moving up to No. 22 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll on Monday – the team's highest ranking in school history.
The Zags were ranked No. 24 last week. Before that, the last time they were ranked was March 2005 when they were No. 24.
Gonzaga won its only game of the week last week – a 70-58 thumping of the Portland Pilots. They face a tough two-game road trip this week. The Bulldogs play at Saint Mary's on Thursday and at San Diego on Saturday. The Gaels are currently in second place in the WCC, one game behind the Zags. The Toreros are in third place.
